Which color for my kitchen.need some real advice///picture included?
Jamie-Lynn Want’s to know:
I was wondering if anyone knew what color of the blind, faux wood to go with for our kitchen recently renewed. The lockers the same color as that in the pic that we also send and stainless appliances like this kitchen ago and the granite is the same color. White seem good or should I go with the same color of the cabinets? The provision around the window is white so I thought that the blind whites were pleasant but not completely sure. Or maybe I should go with the blind metal in a Burgundy? What would seem the best? I was backing toward a white but what do you think? http://www.northernmillwork.com/images/custom_kitchen_cabinets_hgpic.jpg

Blinds tend to “cheapen” the look of what appears to be a fabulous kitchen. I would recommend curtain rods that match your pendant light fixtures with a white shear. You can also add a swag of another curtain at the top of the window(possibly in the burgandy you mentioned earlier) as an accent and punch of color in a rather neutral kitchen.

i’d go with a different color all together as an accent color and add the same color of decrative items as the blinds.

Wow, that is a really great looking kitchen! I might have to steal some of your ideas when I redo my own kitchen.
First of all, do not listen answerer #1s point about blinds looking cheap. Clearly, s/he is thinking of vinyl blinds and did not read that you are considering faux wood, which looks very classy. HGTV’s Spice Up My Kitchen uses blinds all the time. See here:
For your kitchen, I do think that white would look gooc b/c of the white accessories that you already have on your countertops. Though I do like the suggestions of adding a touch of color, and you can totally do that by adding decorative tapes on faux wood blinds. This one has a bordeaux color - since you mentioned burgundy.

Wow I really love that kitchen! I have white faux wood blinds in my bedroom and they don’t look cheap at all. I think they would look great in your kitchen. You could also put interior shutters, that would look pretty nice too. But it all comes down to what you really like and if you’re leaning towards the white faux wood then I say go for it. It’ll look great.
