What are some helpful hints for installing blinds?

I just ordered the blind from www.justblinds.com. I watched the educational video and everything seems reasonably direct, but everything I 'the VE communicated says that installing the blind is a pain. Is there the tips of goods? They 'with reference to the blind wood, faux support of the inner part from 2 inches to fit a window large - about 69-70 inches wide and I have four windows to be done. I measured three times, so should adapt. Some useful suggestions?

3 day blinds
Especially with large blinds — get a helper to assist you in lifting and holding them into place as you snap them into brackets.
Before you even drill one single bracket, test fit the side-to-side measurement (actually hold the closed blind in the opening).
Charge your power drill, and have a stable step ladder. You will be surprised at how much you have to push the power drill into the framework, and reaching up over your head makes it harder.
‘Close’ the blinds when installing, so you don’t have to fight your way past the slats — I have tied a ribbon around them, so that once installed I could just untie and slip it out.

place the bracket where you would like it… mark the holes with pencil, then remove bracket and drill pilot hole for screws. then place the bracket over the holes and place screws.
Having a helper to lift them is a great idea.
the bracket in the middle…. don’t place evenly in the middle… it will hit the cord in the blind…. go a couple inches to the right or left. (note: the middle bracket is important to hold the weight of the blinds…. don’t skip this part!)

diddo the first two answers, but if no helper is around. use a prop that will rest at the bottom of the window and reach as high as the bottom of the blind, allowing you to rest it at finish height while attaching one side. predrilled holes are a must for ease. if your step ladder has a “work tray” that is even better, because then all of your materials and fasteners can be right in front of you
