How to restring Faux wood blinds?

My wife has just saved a small dog and when we left in the country has rosicchiato through the strings on window blind. We 're the rent and I need to know reparation for the strings. Assomigliano ladder to a point. Two thick (3mm?) Strings from any side with thin that connects them. Please don 't gives me a cunning of a $ $ as just replacing the blind or let the dog rosicchiare more on that. I checked www.fixmyblinds.com before the above question here. Unfortunately, don 't give instructions before and I want to know what' s required repair before the purchase.
