It really depends on your family enviroment. If you have an active family with children I would definately go with the faux wood since they are pretty sturdy. Since a living area tends to get less use and normally is more formal you could use either. I prefer to have similar window treatments throughout the house, but the choice is yours, just think what will be more functional. You can put a decorator touch with drapes, window scarves, and valances. Good luck!

The blind if not then go for the shape of the faux wood blinds help with those if utility bills are high would go for the shape of the shape of the blind if not then.
